Teaching Philosophy

The classroom should operate as a sacred space offering the opportunity for connection, conversation, growth, and discovery. Building relationships is key to unlocking student potential. The art of teaching is a balance of a soft front and strong leadership, vulnerability and authenticity. Student collaboration and peer learning are best practices to enhance the educational experience. Thoughtful structure and consistent classroom management are a means to keep students safe and secure - freeing up student attention towards learning. Curiosity and experimentation should be prioritized and celebrated. Empowering students toward self expression and community connection is the ultimate goal.
